Chittenden Vet is the best vet I have ever been to by a mile. One of my cats has a number of ongoing health issues and everyone at Chittenden has always been fantastic with her, despite her grumpy personality. They are thorough and clearly explain their reasoning to me and also always present me with several options to pursue, keeping in mind my limited budget. Some of their prices are a tad higher than what you can find elsewhere, but the slight additional expense is beyond worth it to receive such personalized and thoughtful care. I recently moved out of Ohio and already miss having this clinic nearby. I highly recommend them!

Misdiagnosed my FIV+ cat with asthma, resulting in multiple (expensive) medication treatments that did not alleviate my cat’s symptoms. Alongside this, they continued to prescribe steroids for my cat even though FIV+ cats should not be on steroids long term. Steroids did not improve her symptoms either, and I tapered my cat off of them myself. Dr. Cunningham seemed rushed and discombobulated throughout the multiple appointments we had. Could also overhear her speaking disrespectfully to her staff. As someone who works in healthcare supporting physicians, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth to hear a doctor talk down to her technicians. Would not recommend, am with a new vet now who accurately diagnosed my cat, and she is now doing much better. Edit to add: getting defensive in reply, not a good look. Was told she has asthma and that was that based on a chest Xray. Doc seemed to throw her hands up and offered other testing, but seemed pretty set on asthma. First vet diagnosed URI instead of asthma on first visit. Kept my cat on Prednisolone as it was the only option that seemed to be helping, tapered off per new vet instructions and switched meds. Cat is doing great now! Still wouldn’t recommend :)

Everyone is always so accommodating to bringing an anxious dog in. They make Bea feel so comfortable. I would recommend To everyone they take their dog here. It feels like family when you walk in.

Long wait and all you hear is the staff in the back talking and laughing and if there's a big dog and you have a small pet they wont care to put you in the room to prevent any tragedy if you go there dont even arrive on time and be prepared for 2h of nothing but waiting!!!
