The Cardiology team here at OSU is incredible. We are so lucky to have Dr. Karsten here in Ohio and as our pup’s doctor. Thanks to him, our dog is staying healthy. From the parking attendant to the front desk to the techs and doctors, every single person at OSUVMC deeply cares and understands how important our pets are. You won’t find a better vet center. How lucky we are to have OSUVMC!

I found my cat Jasper unresponsive in the hallway in the middle of the night and called OSU emergency vet. We brought him in as soon as we could and they took us back right away and tried cpr, but they couldn’t bring him back. I appreciate everyone’s efforts and the compassion shown to us even at 2 in the morning. They took us to a room where we could say goodbye and had multiple grief resources. One of the techs gave us hugs as she walked us out. They also connected us with Forever Friends who took care of cremation. Thank you guys for your compassion and care.

I've never been here before, but I will certainly never return. My cat, Kahlua, stopped eating three weeks ago for no discernable reason. I have had her worked up over and over, and every single test has come back normal. I've spent $6k trying to figure out what is wrong with her and why she won't eat, just to come up short with no solution. I had to have a feeding tube inserted in her neck last week after going 12 full days without any food and start tube feeding her 4x a day. Yesterday, she was so lethargic she was borderline completely obtunded for most of the day. I genuinely could not wake her, and of the few moments where she did wake -- she was completely ataxic, falling and stumbling over herself, unable to walk straight, and fell down our stairs. FAR BEYOND anything normal for her even 24 hours prior. And I'm a critical care nurse, I know when something is neurologically off, even if it is an animal. I live in Northern Kentucky and OSU is a 2.5 hour drive for me.. but I have read great things about this facility and their capabilities, so I called off work mid-shift and drove all the way there because I was so desperate. Towards the end of the drive and once she was inside of the treatment area, she started to perk up a little bit as her adrenaline kicked in from fear of the vet. I waited 5 hours to receive any sort of update. The doctor eventually came to tell me that because she woke up for them, they didn't want to do quite literally ANY work up on her and sent us home packing with zero interventions. I begged for a CT scan as I think her issues are stemming from a neurological basis instead of primarily GI, and he literally said no. They charged me $350 just to tell me to get lost because my cat's exam with the stress of the vet's office was better than her previous 15 hours at home. Keeping her in a metal cage overnight with no medications/interventions in order for Internal Medicine to take a look at her the following morning was going to cost $4,500. So I took her back and started the 2.5 hour journey back home.. This morning, she's nearly impossible to wake again. If I stand her up, she falls over. Won't lift her head off the ground either. My cat is going to die at home because OSU genuinely didn't give AF. Could not be more disappointed in her "care". Will absolutely never return.

They have exceptional service and are very knowledgeable. If anyone can save your animals life and you want to say you have done everything humanly possible take them here.
